Code Variations & Instructions
Here's a cr chart (or muselist!) template that's made to be as flexible and easy to edit as possible. You can have as few or as many characters as you'd like in each section, change colors and fonts, throw whatever gifs or images as you want into it, and so on.
Three character templates are included in the Complete Code: Fancy, Simpler, Simplest. They're made to be mixed and matched, but can also stand alone. So if you want to use all three, you can, or if you just want to use one type of character entry, you can.
The key is also optional, and can be moved, edited, or deleted pretty easily. Use the Complete Code or Simplest Only versions to easily get rid of the key. (Note: You can get rid of it in the "Smaller Key" variations, too, but since those were edited to better accommodate the key in the first place, there's no reason to use them if you're planning on deleting it anyway.)
There are notes in the code for where each section starts and stops, for ease of editing. Most of it's self-explanatory, but drop a line here if you have any questions.

Note: this version has not been tested all that much.
- This code's made to-- hopefully!-- accommodate people who are experienced with coding and people with limited experience. If it seems really long at first glance, it's because I put in a lot of extra spaces and notes to clearly delineate every section.
- This code uses flexible divs, instead of tables/rows/cells. This means if you want to add, remove, or shuffle characters around, you can do so without fiddling with row/cell properties. The rows will adjust themselves with your changes.
- When you see IMAGEURL: Images of any dimension will do when you see this. The coding will adjust it to fit the container.
- When you see ICONURL: Try sticking to images that are 100x100.
- If you don't want the key at all, just delete everything from KEY START through KEY END.
- Actually, the same guidelines apply to any section you want to remove. Just find the START and END notes and delete (or move) accordingly.
- The character entries in this code are of a fixed width, and thus will not automatically resize if you change the width of the main container.
- If you want to change the font for all the character entries in one fell swoop, edit the font properties in the div under CONTAINER START. This is also where you can change the overall width of the chart.
- For line breaks, use <br /> not <br>
- Optional: As part of the template, I've included opacity settings for the character entries. They're set at normal opacity as a default, but if you want to change the opacity on a character entry (say, if the character's not in game, or your characters had a falling out, or are divorced, or etc etc), just find where it says opacity: 1.0; in the character entry, and change the number to 0.5 or something.
